Because 2016 hates rock music, (Rest in Peace, Keith), I'm pausing to listen to ELP. Somehow though the years, I know a lot of the big songs and recognize Mr. Emerson as an Earthshattering player. Beautiful melodies. Have to delve into an album of greatest hits that I SHOULD know, but don't. I struggle to understand how these guys assembled a song as a power trio. It's not intuitive. Who plays what? How did they pull it off live and still sound so full? Note to self to catch some of their stuff on You Tube.
